Research Study from Armando et al, showed that daily treated with the Dried Roselle Extract (250 mg of total anthocyanins per dose) for 4 weeks resulted the experimental treatment decreased blood pressure (BP) from 146.48/97.77 to 129.89/85.96 mmHg, reaching an absolute reduction of 17.14/11.97 mmHg.  In conclusion, the Roselle Extract exerted important antihypertensive effectiveness with a wide margin of tolerability and safety. 

Diabetic Renal Health 

A Comprehensive Review from Almajid et al (2023). Cureus 15(11): e49309.  showed that an eight-week supplementation with Roselle extract taken twice daily, containing 425 mg of dried extract with 5.5 mg of anthocyanins, individuals with diabetic nephropathy showed improved renal function and reduced levels of blood urea nitrogen, from 33 to 24 mg/dL

Urinary Tract infection

  1. 60 people were given 0.2g / day Hibiscus extract for 5 days. Report showed relief in the symptoms of urinary infection and reduction In the need of antibiotic treatment 
  2. In a double blind trial, 40 females were given with 0.2g/ day of Hibiscus extract for 6 months. Results showed that Symptoms of urinary infection improved by 68%.
